Though rather a moot point, this 2007 piece by GWU law professor and liberal should be taken to heart by all, 2nd Amendment defender/Exerciser or not. Worth mentioning is fellow GWU Law faculty member, noted 2nd Amendment scholar, shooter, veteran and 'liberal', Robert Cottrol.

Follow the rest and other episodes here. Why this emphasis on a Right to Bear Arms as a counter to government power? What about voting, checks and balances, etc? Governments of all kinds have been the most unrelenting, calculating murderers in world history (called Democide), and an unarmed citizenry is a means to a horrific end. the Twentieth Century shouts the loudest.
